Bill Kreis, Owner/Operator:

Bill Kreis has worked with his father, Steve Kreis, at Kreis Sawmill for over 10 years. Bill is an expert on the circular saw.  He flat saws, quarter saws, and makes everything from fence boards, horse stall lumber, board and batten siding, rib stock for boats, and high end cabinet wood.  Bill is knowledgeable on drying and operates three dryers at the sawmill.

Steve Kreis, Forester:

Steve Kreis has a degree in Forestry from OSU and over 30 years experience as an arborist.

He started his career with the US Forestry Service “cruising” timber, and brings that valuable expertise to the process of timber grading.

Steve is licensed by the State of Ohio Dept. of Agriculture to treat disease and insect infestations in trees.
